revenue-rich services while protecting their existing investments. For
Telecom Software Providers: Thanks to our proven onsite/offshore methodology,
Blue Monitor helps solution providers to focus on their core expertise: defining
and marketing products. With our onsite/offshore teams focusing on high-quality
software development, telecom solution providers can meet their delivery promises
Blue Monitor brings together the best of both worlds: proven telecom domain
expertise, backed by experience in areas ranging from Transformational Outsourcing
to eBusiness, EAI, ERP, CRM, and Data Warehousing. With our proven ability to
deliver, Blue Monitor helps telecom companies realize their goals in an environment
where the competitive playing field, regulatory requirements, and technology base
is changing rapidly. Solutions for Service
Providers In a rapidly changing competitive environment, Telecom
Service Providers are under pressure to introduce new products and services while
reducing capital and operational expenditures. Consequently, they are focusing
on select, targeted areas delivering high return, including Operation Support
Systems (OSS), customer-facing applications, network management, and business
activity monitoring Operation Support Systems As
the central nervous system of telecom providers, OSS systems drive mission-critical
order management, customer service, network provisioning and billing functions.
With innovative wire line and wireless services fast emerging, telecom service
providers require OSS solutions capable of integrating the old with the new. CRM
& Data Warehousing Solutions Through its CRM and Data Warehousing
solutions, Blue Monitor ensures that the telecom providers understand their customer's
expectations. It encourages service providers to deliver personalized services
through customer interfaces, for e.g. self-service portals. Network
Management Solutions As a vital solution for reducing operational
costs, Blue Monitor has developed a Network Management Framework that focuses
on capacity and utilization. Our IP Inventory Management framework includes components
that help carriers manage IP assets, while our Network Performance & Usage
Management provides functionality that is critical for optimizing network utilization.
Business Action Monitoring (BAM) With the need to
carefully manage costs, telecom service providers require effective 24x7 management
and monitoring of mission-critical business systems and networks. Business Activity
Monitoring (BAM) provides a real-time dashboard view of critical business process
indicators based on real-time application integration and analytics. Leveraging
our expertise in EAI and Data Warehousing and our knowledge of business processes,
Blue Monitor delivers BAM systems that transform telecom service providers into
"Zero Time Enterprises" capable of anticipating and responding to sudden
changes in their businesses. Solutions for
Equipment Vendors Working and interacting with industry standards
organizations such as the
European
Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and
Open
Mobile Alliance (OMA) helps Blue Monitor to keep pace with the evolutions
in technology standards. For telecom equipment vendors, we combine knowledge
of the latest standards and technologies with our expertise in carrier-grade systems
development, real-time embedded systems, and automated testing. The result is
that Blue Monitor offers telecom equipment providers, teams of subject matter
experts who can sharply accelerate delivery of product solutions in areas encompassing:
- Systems Integration: With the emergence of IP-based
Network Infrastructure Systems in addition to the more traditional signaling-based
systems, telecom equipment vendors require customized solutions that integrate
new equipment with emerging IP-based and existing SS7-based networks. Blue Monitor
has deep knowledge, integrating custom solutions for Mobile Network Infrastructure
elements with today's leading SS7 Platforms.
- Embedded Software
Solutions: Blue Monitor provides Embedded solutions for numerous hardware
platforms from Intel, Motorola, and other sources using real-time operating Systems
such as VxWorks, VRTX, and eCos.
- Testing Solutions:
Blue Monitor offers comprehensive Telecom Software Testing solutions, backed by
our expertise in developing communication protocols and systems. Our automated
testing approach is based on scripting languages and conformance-testing using
standardized tools and notations.
- Location Services Frameworks
(LSF): Delivering LSF components that support today's GSM and UMTS networks,
Blue Monitor enables mobile equipment providers to deliver products supporting
location-based value-added services that wireless carriers are demanding. Examples
include PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) Interface, MLP (Mobile Location Protocol)
Parser and GSM MAP (Mobile Application Part).
- Custom Product
Enablement: Blue Monitor offers equipment vendors a significant opportunity
to take advantage of our investments in product engineering methodologies, through
which we deliver high quality solutions with significant cost savings. This service
also allows the equipment vendors to focus their energies and limited resources
on their traditional strengths, which are product conceptualization, marketing
and customer management. Blue Monitor has also developed Element Management Solutions
as part of its product enablement services.
 We
have demonstrated capability in delivering high quality solutions to our equipment
vendor customers. Some of our recent projects include: - HIPERLAN/2
Stack: HIPERLAN/2 is an ETSI standard for a high-speed radio communication
system with typical data rates from 6 Mbits/s to 54 Mbits/s, which connects portable
devices with broadband networks that are based on IP, ATM and other technologies.
HIPERLAN/2 is capable of supporting multi-media applications by providing mechanisms
to handle QoS. Blue Monitor's HIPERLAN/2 stack for MT and AP is developed strictly
according to the ETSI standards. Blue Monitor was engaged by a leading consumer
electronics player to customize the stack to their needs.
- Systems
Integration for Mobile Service Provider: Blue Monitor was engaged by
a leading equipment vendor to deliver a system integration solution to one if
its service provider customers. Blue Monitor developed a network entity, which
interfaces with the SGSN, SMSC and the billing system in a GPRS network, and was
needed to deliver SMS services to its prepaid subscribers. The solution was built
around a SS7 stack from a leading vendor.
- Bluetooth Porting and
Testing: Blue Monitor was engaged for porting an existing Bluetooth
stack and applications from Windows NT to the Windows CE 3.0 platform. This porting
involved re-writing of some major classes used in the current implementation and
porting certain system APIs from Windows NT to the equivalent Windows CE version.
Solutions for Telecom Software Vendors
Rapid technology changes, harsh market conditions, and customer
budget constraints are challenging telecom software vendors. Under these conditions,
solution providers require a partner who can help them manage risk, while reducing
the cost and time-to-market for development, upgrade, and also assist in the maintenance
of key software products. |
